Hey everyone--Crucial Blast has just made volume 5 of the remix series available for pre-order. This is exciting cause now they are all available! Volume 5 features three remixes. One from ambient mastermind TIM HECKER, one from NADJA, who brings some crazy industrial noise to the mix, and one by DUDES YOU CAN TRUST, which is really just ME, michael sochynsky, from genghis tron. my remix is half brutal drones and half poppy techno, who knew? Pre-order at Crucial Blast's site. As it stands now, Volume 1 on Temporary Residence is sold out, Volume 2 on Lovepump United is still available but almost gone, and Volume 3 and 4 on Relapse and Anticon ship TODAY. That's it for now. We're taking a long break to write the new record...more on that in the new year!.

Hey everyone--we've announced our Fall Canadian tour with the mighty Baroness!!! Check out the shows page for details. We'll also be doing headlining stuff down the west coast so keep checking back here in the next couple of weeks.

Also, the 2nd volume of our remix series just went up on Lovepump United's online store. Get it soon because these are guaranteed to sell out. Speaking of remixes, there are still a few of Volume 1 left over at the Temporary Residence page. Go here to pick one up.

Wow. We've really dropped the ball on updating this website, haven't we? We'll be better from now on and you won't have to endure myspace to keep up on us...promise. Also, the new merch store is finally linked from our webpage. Check it out under Merchstore (duh).

We're currently in Budapest doing a short European tour. Check the tourdates and come out if you happen to be in any of the random cities we're playing this week.

Come August we'll be doing four shows with THE FAINT and JAGUAR LOVE. Very exciting.

We're also about to release the first volume of a five-part remix series on 5 different labels! Please head over to our remix myspace page for all up-to-date information on the releases and how to order them!

We spun around on 3 wheels and an axel rotor, miraculously avoiding a collision with any of the five or so cars barelling towards us, before landing (backwards) in a ditch in the median.

The most important thing is that everyone is totally OK. Given that we were going 60+ MPH and got into a highway accident during high-traffic hours, this is amazing, and we're very lucky. Our gear also seems to be mostly OK, and neither our van nor trailer were totalled -- BUT both are severely damaged, NOT drivable, and in need of serious repairs. We canceled our shows tonight (Butler PA) and Friday (Philly). Hopefully things can get fixed and on track in time for our next scheduled show, which is around a week away.

And now the inevitable. For those kind souls with an extra dollar in their pockets, we are accepting donations, which can be made through Paypal to the address GTMERCH@GMAIL.COM. You can also go to our Myspace page and click the "DONATE" button, right below the blog posts area.

Any amount that ANYONE could give to chip in to our costly repairs, towing, and transportation would be incredibly helpful. As is, we were already beneath a sizable chunk of debt and this accident is only going to make it worse, blah blah blah. Our trailer was brand new, fresh out of the factory for less than ten days...

For those of you who've been following us for a few years, you know this isn't the first time we've had some serious highway mishap. It sucks, and it's really hard to believe that something like this could happen again -- but we are incredibly lucky that no one was hurt, just like our accident in the summer of 2005. As the day comes to a close, we're completely ecstatic to be here and healthy; but now that we have our safety, we're just stressed and overwhelmed at everything which now has to happen in order to get this train running again.
